There have been an incredible number of people take the Grand River cruise over the years, so I guess they are doing something right. The cruise starts with a video and musical presentation, before one boards one of several vessels moored along a small creek.

The launch pont is some distance from the Grand River, but once all the safety regulations are recited, and the boat is manhandled to be turned around in the small creek, we soon enter the Grand for a lazy journey toward Brantford. The ship's captain keeps up a steady banter - lots of historic information and some corny stories -and points out interesting sights along the way.

There is not a lot to see in this stretch of the Grand as it is dense underbrush right to the water's edge in many areas, but the highlight of the trip has to be the dinner - a very good roast beef dinner with apple pie. Interesting trip up the Grand.
